Battle of the Blades is on at 8. Here is today's lineup, complete with iTunes links. Not particularly thrilled; not sure if I'd watch. Battle of the Blades started today. The concept of the show is to pair up a figure skater with a hockey player, and the couples compete against each other. The winning team gets a donation to the charity of their choice. This year's show has a female hockey player (Tessa Bonhomme) paired with David Pelletier.

Kill Gil, the Simpsons episode that featured Elvis Stojko, won a Writers Guild of America award for writing in animation. I thought that Elvis was wasted in that episode. He should have had a role like Gary Coleman did in the "Funzo" episode. The ice show was great, but not as brilliantly conceived as Blades of Glory' ( Read more... )
